Toronto, Canada is the shimmering heart and soul of the country, with a diverse mixture of culture that is evident through the extensive variety of cuisine and shopping available. One of the most exciting cities in North America, Toronto has something for everyone. Including idyllic islands, gleaming skyscrapers, victorian homes full of funky thrift shopping, and one of the largest aquariums in the world- this is my personal list of the best things to do in Toronto.

  • St. Lawrence Market in Toronto, Canada

      St Lawrence Market is a hodgepodge collection of local vendors selling everything from pastries to vintage clothes- but especially food. From an outside tent full of fresh veggies and home-baked goods to world-famous restaurants serving up fresh peameal bacon (it's a Toronto thing- highly recommended). Tour through the bustling halls and sample as much as your stomach can handle because it is guaranteed delicious.

      Largely regarded as a tourist activity, and great for families, Ripley’s Aquarium is a dreamy spot full of colorful fish to witness. See soft jellyfish floating through neon waters, sharks swimming above your head in a tunnel, and learn about the vast world of undersea life- just steps away from the CN Tower.

      The Moca has 3 full floors of cutting-edge exhibitions that seek to comment on and preserve culture. Enjoy touring the renovated buildings' pristine floors and experiencing contemporary art in all its forms, visual, auditory, and through film. The building itself has a trendy cafe with some of Toronto's finest coffee and artisanal beer. Located directly across from a chocolate factory- be prepared for the scent of milk chocolate wafting through the air while you approach the building.
