Heron Rock Bistro in Victoria, Canada

My personal favorite. The Heron Rock Bistro touches all the bases. If you want to treat yourself to an elegant 4-course meal with wine pairings and mouth-watering desserts, this is the place. But wait until happy hour when they bring out a special menu that offers some of their signature appies at a great discount. We're talking calamari, roasted veggie sandwiches, mushroom and garlic fettuccine. Ever tried duck wings? They're next level. This "appie" hour runs from 3-5pm and then again from 8-10pm. Go there on a Monday or Friday for live Jazz.

Nourish Kitchen & Cafe in Victoria, Canada
- the.vagrant.optimist
This restaurant is appropriately named. Nourish is all about making the healthiest, locally sourced dishes with great detail. Their happy hour features the wine of the day, beer of the moment, and cider of the second each for $4. Located off the beaten path in a Victorian Heritage house, it's worth finding and treating yourself to some time here. Happy hour runs from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Pluto's in Victoria, Canada
- the.vagrant.optimist
If you like classic diners, check out the night time happy hour at Pluto's- it's one of the cheapest happy hours in town. Featuring highballs and sleeves of draft for $3.50, glasses of wine for $4, and adult milkshakes for $7. Sounds intriguing right?

Tapa Bar in Victoria, Canada

The Tapa Bar can be pricey but it's oh so worth it. Take advantage of their happy hour which offers sleeves of draft beer, glasses of wine, and sangria for $5 each. Located in tranquil Trounce Alley, this restaurant's atmosphere and delicious tapas will make you think you're almost in Spain.

Brickyard Pizza in Victoria, Canada
- the.vagrant.optimist
There's cheap pizza and there's good pizza. The Brickyard makes really good pizza, generously sliced and served with a decent selection of artisanal beer on tap. Hit them up for happy hour and grab a slice for $2.50 and a beer for $4.75. Chances are good that you'll go back for another slice. Happy hour runs from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Breakwater Cafe . Bistro . Bar in Victoria, Canada
- the.vagrant.optimist
Take a beautiful walk along the water on Dallas Road and arrive at the Breakwater Bistro for Happy hour on coffee + pastries ($5) and/or draft beer ($4) and highballs ($3). Combine that with the Breakwater's oceanview and you've won the afternoon. Available from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and then again after 9:00 pm.

Bin 4 Burger Lounge in Victoria, Canada
- the.vagrant.optimist
Not your average burger joint. This restaurant is a legit burger lounge with a long list of home-made innovative burgers with vegan options as well. If you can wait for a later meal, all burgers are half price with a drink purchase after 9:00 pm. Until then you could grab drinks at one of the other restaurants on this list.

Ferris' Oyster Bar has upstairs and downstairs restaurants that both offer great happy hour menus for drinks and appies. Both offer highballs, sleeves of Pilsner, and glasses of house wine for $4 but here's the difference: The Oyster bar downstairs runs the happy hour from 3-5 pm with buck-a-shuck oysters. The upstairs restaurant (Pero Negro) runs the happy hour from 5-6 pm and offers a charcuteria board for $6. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
