Located in the center of Victory Park, The Haggin Museum is considered one of California’s hidden gems. This art museum was made possible by the generous contribution of Stockton native, Robert T. Mckee. His only requirements were to name the museum in honor of his wife’s late father, Louis Terah, Haggin and to display his art collection in a dedicated wing of the museum. Today, this art museum showcases 19th-century painters such as Albert Bierstadt, Rosa Bonheur, William-Adolphe Bouguereau, and J.C. Leyendecker. The Haggin Museum has permanent historical galleries as well as temporary art exhibits.
