• The East Coast by Train

  The best way to see the East Coast of the US is by train. It's quick, comfortable, and drops you off in the heart of the location your visiting. Although it's more expensive than the bus, it's way more reliable and that alone makes it worth it.

  Williamsburg is a historic Virginia town that's close to Busch Gardens and the beach, and has great places to stay at an affordable price.

  Avoid touristy beaches and yucky public pools with these easy to get to, free or low cost places you can submerge in water, all within arm's reach to the nation's capital. These destinations are great for daytrips, especially if you have kids in tow.

• Traveling Solo in Costa Rica

  I'll admit, solo travel is not my favorite. But I had a killer time in Costa Rica, because there was so much to do and everyone was so friendly. I made friends at hostels everywhere I went (except San Jose!) and had such an amazing time. Doesn't hurt that everything is so cheap either!

• Most Romantic Spots Around the World

  To me, there's nothing more romantic than a coastal destination. These are the places most idyllic to walk hand in hand with the apple of your eye. #SeekerChallenge

• Places to love in Rock Hall, MD

  This small town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland is just 2 hours from DC, but feels a million miles away. It's a great escape surrounded by water and views, with fresh seafood at every turn. It's a sleepy town that's much less touristy than St. Michael's and you have to make your own fun, which isn't hard in the warmer months.

• 11 drives within 3 hours of Washington, DC

  There are so many amazing places to visit within 3 hours of DC, with such a variety of experiences. Many could be standalone trips, while others make a great add-on when visiting the DC area.

• 24 Hours in Atlantic City

  At just 3 hours from DC, Atlantic City is a great destination to have a completely different experience not far from home. But it's not Vegas. Find the "best" places to go and only go to those places. The city can be a bit grimy and a lot of the hotels and casinos look more fun on the outside than they are on the inside.

• Summer Vacay - Moultonborough, NH

  We are planning a 7-day trip with extended family to this lakeside town this summer. I'll be adding places as I find them!
